After nearly a decade in the Anti-Mafia unit, Roberto Ardenzi is promoted to deputy commissioner of the Rome Flying Squad. Back on the job, he finds himself managing a new team of officers, composed of strong-willed individuals who also struggle with personal issues. Ardenzi himself struggles to balance work and his personal life, particularly his relationship with his twenty-year-old daughter, Mauretta.
Promoted to Chief of the Mobile Squad, Deputy Police Commissioner Roberto Ardenzi was assigned to the Mafia Capitale operation, a corruption ring allegedly involving politicians, businessmen, and fixers.
