Tom is a musician whose last success with his band was 15 years ago. Now he is broke; even his beloved guitar has been repossessed and he must look for a proper job. With forged papers he apples for a temporary position as a music teacher at a Catholic school for students with learning disabilities. His approach to music education, a far cry from hitting a few notes on a triangle which is pretty much all his new students are used to, is to form a band: The Mongolettes.
