Amazing and timely show. This is not a comedy, it's _about_ comedy; which is written by depressed damaged people.

The core relationship between two broken and talented individuals set against the backdrop ridiculousness of the entertainment **industry**. Balancing extremes are the theme of the show as personal demons can be what sells the best, so self-awareness is how you profit off your pain, but also prevents you from doing what is truly best for you.

It's also about women from a woman's perspective, which is still pretty new, so the cinematic language may be unfamiliar to some....read the rest
