Overview

Boris is stunned when his girlfriend Ana asks for some time apart. He doesn't know why and she can't explain it. Some time can mean so many things. How much time apart? A week, a month, years? During this imprecise period of uncertainty, Boris is left at the mercy of chance. His life transforms into an erratic urban journey: moving into a transient hotel, buying a temperamental communist-era car, meeting up with a long-lost classmate, random encounters with other women and repeatedly trying to get back together with Ana.

I'm afraid that I rather struggled to engage with this. It
is all about the escapades of the startled "Boris" (Esteban Bigliardi) who has just been told by his long-term girlfriend "Ana" (Cecilia Rainero) that she wants a break. It's a bolt from the blue, and one that comes with some unwelcome side effects. He has to move out of their apartment and live from his suitcase in a hotel room. She isn't seeing anyone else, nor can she furnish him with any reason for her ennui with their relationship which makes matters even more frustrating for the now rudderless "Boris".
