**Powerful emotional thriller with realistic, nuanced, flawed characters**

Although set within a science fiction premise of time travel, the show masterfully presents an emotional thriller that is grounded in the human experience.

The first season follows the tumultuous relationship of Philip and Evelyn. Philip is well-meaning but slightly controlling lawyer, while Evelyn is an independent and emotional cellist.
