A war brought them together. Now it could separate them forever.

Overview

After being released from an Italian prison, British officer Eric Newby must find his way out of Italy before the Germans come. However, he is injured on the way and is left behind from his fellow soldiers. He is helped out by the local Italians, and he meets Wanda, a beautiful local girl who helps him learn Italian so he can escape. Slowly, their small friendship turns into a romance, but with the Germans looking for Eric, they are kept apart, not knowing what will happen.

During WWII, it was easier to assist innocent people with escaping thugs. It only required physically hiding, guiding, and relocating them. Those living through that world war, as in 'In Love and War', seem luckier back then than some of us today.

Today, humin rights violators can have one under ongoing surveillance. Then, the lawbreakers see you wherever you go; violate privacy, and obsessively watch every second of your daily Life.
