A Nightmare in Venice is a low-budget, late-80s erotic thriller that loosely reconstructs the conceptual spine of Arthur Schnitzler’s Traumnovelle, later adapted by Kubrick into Eyes Wide Shut, but trades psychological ambiguity for explicit criminal conspiracy.
