A young scientist, Roman Vitalievich Voziy, is engaged in scientific activities and aspires to become a professor. His difficult relationship with his wife, Khrystia Parmenivna, who constantly demands money, blackmails and manipulates him because of her love for their six-year-old son Natusia, is a hindrance. Roman sincerely falls in love with the actress Olga. She reciprocates his feelings... But his paternal instinct is stronger than anything else. The film is based on the drama “Natus“ by Volodymyr Vynnychenko.
