I'm usually not a fan of remakes especially these days when it seems Hollywood is out of ideas and just goes around remaking movies for the hell of it. Childs Play is the exception to this rule. First off they remove the mystical element of what Child's Play was about ... there was no convict on the run or bad man who put his soul into the doll... the doll was reprogrammed or most of its functions were left open so that it would become violent and deadly. Mark Hamill played the perfect Chucky and the boy plays the perfect Andy. Even The Supporting Cast was better than I could have expected for...read the rest
