Overview

This BAFTA nominated animated short was commissioned by Channel 4's MOMI residency scheme. It tells a darkly comic story about procrastination in which a man becomes entangled in his own domestic web. Repeatedly unsuccessful attempts to leave his flat set off a series of chain reactions ensuring his inevitable descent into chaos! The film is a psychological drama that strikes a universal chord by depicting the character in the grip of this common neurosis.

Some of this is really quite excruciating to watch as we spend a few hours with a man who can never quite make it from his apartment to meet his friends. He does almost get there once, but swiftly finds he has dressed for rain when the sun is beaming outside. He returns indoors and that is when he notices his plants are dying; then discovers that he has an hole in his trouser pocket, then next thing he is repainting his flat a brilliant shade of red as his carpet begins to rememble a meadow - complete with itchy wildlife.
