Zhen Zihao and his younger sister Zhen Xiaoyun were born in Longmen and depended on each other growing up. After Xiaoyun got into a conflict with others, she was sentenced to fifteen years in prison. Zihao, who was released early for good behavior, later learned that his sister had taken her own life. He visited the relevant government departments to understand the circumstances of her death, then quietly buried her ashes alongside their parents.
