Overview

Ruth and Harry decide to take a romantic backpacking trip through the Pacific Northwest, but amongst the beautiful scenery, Ruth makes an unexpected discovery that sets her off on a strange, frightening new path. The couple aren't alone in the woods, and they might not be the same when they come out...if they come out.

Human psychology is a hell of a drug.
This is delightful. It is suspensful, well-acted, engaging and well-directed. The effects are as good as they need to be for this sort of drama, but most things center on great character-work, not effects of music-stings for jump-scares. I appreciate the craftsmanship that went into writing and directing this movie, and I wholly recommend it.
